So far I've had very good accuracy with the Buffalo Arms swaged .459" 480 gr pp bullet, 3-4 MOA at 100 yards. Longer range accuracy is not as good....

Rob, re the top picture in your last post above. I have been using 100gsm copier paper dampened to patch the Lee 457-450F and get the same hard lumps at the bottom when dried as shown on your picture....

Gents, as a generral rule, the thinner the paper, the more consistent the results. Using something like airmail (yes, I'm that old) or tracing paper with the appropriate diameter of bullet does show...

As an aside I noticed that shooting paper patched projectiles over a period of time - approx. 2 years made the bore of my M-H look a lot better.

Nice group! And good info on the moulds you are using. I've been shooting that Buffalo Arms MH swaged paper patch bullet, it is 480 grains and .459" before patching--in a Mk1V with the larger bore...
